For many organisations CSR means organising an extracurricular activity through which they contribute to society. These projects or events are not directly related to the company's core business, products or services, meaning that the business can easily proceed its work without it. However, indirectly there is a positive relation between the company's reputation and the increase in turnover; thanks to an improvement of the reputation, the company may gain more customers. Extracurricular activities, or projects are therefore additional initiatives that can be seen as the icing on the cake. These events can be executed according to sustainable standards.
